Cataract Surgery

As you age, so does the natural lens in your eye. A cataract is clouding of the natural lens. The most common signs of developing cataracts are:

• difficulty driving at night
• glare or halos
• feeling like you are looking through a “film”

Cataract surgery is the only treatment for this condition.

Cataract removal uses ultrasound waves to gently remove the cloudy lens. A new customized replacement lens (IOL) is placed inside your eye to once again allow for clear vision and optimal focus.

Lens implants are available for distance vision, astigmatism correction, or multi-focal (range between distance, near, and in-between).
